As an award-winning hairstylist, entrepreneur, and former salon owner, Sherita has earned her spot among the city’s elite. Featured in Who’s Who in Black Atlanta as one of the Most Influential Entrepreneurs, she continues to inspire with her dedication, innovation, and unmatched expertise.

Her commitment to uplifting others earned her the prestigious Phoenix Award from former Mayor Kasim Reed for her mentorship of teenage girls, along with the celebrated Rising ICON Award at the Bronner Bros. Annual ICON Awards.

A MASTER EDUCATOR & INDUSTRY INNOVATOR

With over two decades of teaching excellence, Sherita traveled the nation as a National Color Educator for John Paul Mitchell Systems, training licensed beauty professionals in advanced color and cutting techniques. Her mastery of color also led her to become a Brand Ambassador for Clairol Professional, where she achieved the Highest Achievement Award and served as a judge for national hair color competitions.

Sherita's talent has shined on major stages—including the iconic Bronner Brothers Hair Shows—where she earned multiple competition wins. She’s also shared her expertise as a writer for major beauty publications and has been featured in both national and international magazines.

Her commitment to community health led her to partner with former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Regina Benjamin in the Styling Healthier Futures campaign to support wellness in African-American communities.

AUTHOR, MENTOR & BUSINESS STRATEGIST

Sherita is the bestselling author of BAGTALK PLANNER, a must-have guide that empowers beauty professionals with money management, branding, and marketing skills. She also penned I DID IT SCARED: Understanding Your Financial DNA, inspiring readers to take control of their financial future.

Her salon has been spotlighted globally and recognized as one of the Top 100 Hair Salons and Best Hair Color Salons in the South by Black Hairstyles and Trends Magazine.

Fueled by a passion for teaching the next generation, Sherita founded the Sherita Cherry Institute—a place where education, empowerment, and excellence come together.

A proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University and holder of an MBA from Western Governors University, Sherita's career has been marked by national and international accolades. Her alma mater honored her in its alumni magazine for her business leadership and philanthropic heart. Bronner Brothers also recognized her as “The Leader of the Beauty Industry for the New Generation.”
